Women's Brunch in July

What a wonderful time of fellowship we had at our monthly Women's Brunch! After our brunch, we listened to a devotion from Sharla about proven methods of studying the Scriptures. Our craft was assembling ball point pens with beads and other decorative items. Our next brunch is August 10.

Dessert Auction a Huge Success!

Curry fried up the fish and hushpuppies, people brought their delicious cakes and treats for the auction and everyone had a great time!

People from near and far joined us for our annual Fish Fry & Dessert event that is held every spring. This year, the auction brought in funds to help provide scholarships for children and youth  to attend camp this summer. Other funds will go to provide weekend "Blessing Bags" during the school year for some of the children in our communit

2024 Spring Women's Conference

Spring 2024 Women's Ministry Brunch & Auction

Bono Women's Ministry - Thank you to all who donated the beautiful items for our auction and to everyone who participated. All proceeds will help feed children in our community schools who need food during the weekends.

Bono Men Visit Texans on Missions

On February 26, our Bono Men took a field trip to Dallas to visit the Headquarters of the Texas Baptist Men / Texans on Mission.  They were taken on a personal tour of the Disaster Relief equipment in place and learned about the process of going out and serving others who are in crises.

Overcoming Obstacles Event a Huge Success!

What a great time we had with Jared Greer and his "Overcoming Obstacles" course. 

Students from several youth groups in our community gathered together to experience the ninja course and to hear a message of hope and encouragement led by Jared, himself. 

It was an incredible evening and several youth made decisions for Christ!

And the Winners are...

We had a wonderful time celebrating New Year's Eve with our church family. Worship time was full of life and very encouraging as we were charged by Pastor John to enter the new year with spiritual fervor. At dinner, we had 7 delicious pots of chili, some cornbread and delicious desserts. Congratulations to Casey, Debbie and Charlie, our cookoff winners!

Sunday, December 31 at 5:30pm, join us for worship and a special charge for 2024 from Pastor John. Following our service, we will move to the Gym for our Chili Cookoff. Everyone will get 3 votes to cast and the finalists will receive awards. Come join us in a fun evening with the Bono Family!

Christmas Eve Morning Candlelight Service

This year is very special in that Christmas Eve falls on Sunday. Our morning service on December 24 will be dedicated to celebrating the miraculous Birth of Jesus. Through praise & worship, a special message from Pastor John, time of communion and candlelight, we will focus on the true meaning of Christmas and the JOY that comes from Jesus! Come join us at 11:00 a.m. for this very special time.

Fish Fry & Cake Auction

Each year, we hold a Fish Fry and Cake Auction in the early Summer to raise funds to help our children and youth attend summer camps. This year, our event will be held Saturday, June 3 @ 6pm.  

Cakes and desserts are accepted before the event and sold via both live and silent auctions during the event. 

Schedule:

6pm - The fish dinner is served, then the live auction will take place. The silent auction occurs during the meal.

Bono Family Summer Kickoff Cookout

Each spring at the end of the school year, we set aside one Wednesday night to have a church-wide cookout for the whole church. This year, our cookout will be held May 24 @ 6pm behind the church. We will have hotdogs and s'mores over the campfire. Join us for a wonderful time of fellowship, fun and maybe even some games!

Empowering Relationships - April 21 & 22

In this 12-hour experience, Craig Hill teaches on video about the ancient paths of relational communication, the battle between flesh and spirit and how to return the soul to peace. The final topics are on offense and strife. This teaching and small group ministry times, led by trained facilitators, in this seminar will greatly impact your relationships with God, others and even yourself.
